Helping organizations create the future, today.
“Foresight’s most powerful trait is its ability to transform mindsets. Strategic Foresight builds our confidence in constructing and imprinting on the future. We realize we are equipped to do so by practicing a shared language to navigate toward previously unforeseen possibilities.”
As Head of Human Design and Development, I cultivate and strengthen diverse relationships across TFSX. With more than a decade of foresight experience, including work with Metro de Santiago, Dell, and Library Systems, I focus my training and thought leadership on foresight implementation, applying tools and processes that drive culture change and build organizational capacity.
Before joining TFSX, I worked in higher education (another love of mine), focusing on student engagement, program development, and industry certification. I leveraged these experiences to help establish the Professional Foresight Certification in Natural Foresight, a milestone for the field of Strategic Foresight.
I earned my Master of Arts in Interpersonal Communication, along with Diversity Certificates, from the University of Central Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Florida. I’ve contributed to the foresight and communications fields through both practice and scholarship, publishing a case study chapter in a Palgrave Macmillan foresight textbook. Further, my research on generational perceptions in the workplace and communication rules has also appeared in the Journal of Organizational Change Management and Qualitative Research Reports in Communication.
I’m an active member of the Association for Professional Futurists (APF), the National Communication Association (NCA), the Greater Orlando Organization Development Network (GOOD), and EPIC (Ethnography in Industry).
I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Nicole Baker Rosa for over eight years on a signature grant project “Transformation for Libraries: The Futures School”, smaller group projects she facilitated, focused on Environmental Scanning and collaborations where she presented at national conferences for the library profession. Nicole is an engaging, thoughtful, and human centric facilitator in the field of foresight, using masterful skills complemented by presence, generosity, and kindness to guide people through the various tools and concepts of foresight. Her approach is refreshing, approachable and leaves participants feeling confident and prepared in their foresight journeys.
The list below is only a sampling of topics. Let’s connect so that I can learn about your one of a kind event and customize a talk or workshop to meet your goals and objectives.
Nicole gave an eye-opening presentation at the Association of Change Management Professionals conference on mapping future opportunities based on trends happening in other markets in the present. The audience then went through an exercise of identifying current trends and how they might relate to one another. It was a fresh take on “strategy planning” and instead of locking down a particular path, opened up a variety of outcomes to explore. Nicole was engaging and facilitated the conversation beautifully. I would recommend her for any conference around business, strategy, or people!
Nicole is an excellent presenter and public speaker! The presentation was a great case study on the use of strategic foresight to “intentionally create a futures culture” instead of simply planning for the workforce of tomorrow. Nicole’s presentation on strategic foresight was extremely compelling and thought-provoking. She brought light onto an approach organizations should consider in today’s rapid changing environment of technology and thought if they want to successfully innovate and create transformative change.
I was fortunate enough to catch Nicole speaking at the Arizona SHRM Conference. She was compelling on several fronts. First her mastery of the subject matter, from VUCA to strategic foresight to being a futurist were spot on. Second, her confident delivery style is easy to listen to as she invites you into her magical world of wonder. And finally, her ability to take the complex and make it practical and applicable was a genuine resource for those in the room.
Do yourself a favor… go listen to Nicole!
